CONTINUING TEACHER FORMATION IN THE QUARTA COLÔNIA GEOPARK: ACTION OF THE POSGRADUATE PROGRAM IN TEACHING SCHINCE AND MATHEMATICS AT FRANCISCAN UNIVERSITY

The Franciscan University (UFN) has been investing in the in-service teacher formation in the Quarta Colônia Geopark (QCG) through workshops and seminars using methodologies and didactic-pedagogical resources. The aim of this is are to analyze the impact of the participation of the PPGCIMAT/UFN in the continuing formation of the QGCs in-service teachers, specially through the educational actions developed in the editions of the Interdisciplinary Journey of Teacher Formation in Heritage Education (JIFPEP) and the Regional Seminar of Quarta Colônia’s Education (SREQC). As analysis material, was taken the journey and the seminar focused on teacher formation (2022-2024). The research has a qualitative and documental approach and uses the content analysis technique in which four categories were chosen: I) aspects of the event program; II) aspects of the workshops offered; III) aspects of the teaching resources; and IV) aspects of the scientific communication. It was observed that PPGECIMAT was involved in the organization of continuing formation events, participating in lectures, cultural moments, roundtable discussion, workshops, teaching resources and scientific communication.
