Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of socio-emotional and sustainable competencies in the education of business administration students at the Federal University of Paraíba. The theoretical framework addressed the foundations of socio-emotional competencies in the organizational context, sustainable competencies, and the understanding of transformative learning. Methodologically, the research was characterized as quantitative and descriptive, using a multiple case study approach, as it involves three business administration programs located on different UFPB campuses. The results suggest a tendency toward convergence between the competencies formally established in the Pedagogical Projects of the Programs and the perceptions expressed by students, who emphasize critical reflection, ethics, communication, leadership, and their perceptions of the development of these competencies throughout their education. It is concluded that, although students develop considerable critical awareness and reflective capacity, challenges still remain in effectively articulating theoretical knowledge with practical application.
