Abstract

In recent years, Brazilian educational policy has increasingly emphasized the aspect of inclusion. The movement follows international trends and is in accordance with national education regulations. The Brazilian Military College System (SCMB) is trying to adapt to this new reality. In this context, this study aimed to understand the systematic process of implementing inclusive education in this peculiar educational network. This study was initially carried out from a constitutional and legal reading of the regulations provided in the Military Regulations on this theme. Secondarily, it will be necessary to present the process of implementation of inclusive education in the Brazilian Military College System, within the educational scope of the Brazilian Army, as well as to identify the consequences of its implementation, difficulties, and challenges presented. The conclusion is that aspects of military culture influence, but do not prevent, the process of implementing and strengthening of inclusive education in the system.
