Abstract

Technology valuation is important in the technology transfer process, especially the value assignment stage, which is a worldwide reference document that consolidates concepts and definitions about research and development (R&D) activities, including the creation of a system of indicators for technological research effort and performance.

In addition, the starting point for the development of a new technology can come from a market need. The study aims to create a methodology to help negotiate intellectual property, technology sales, patent licensing, project ownership and economic exploitation, ownership of inventions, and exploitation in production and marketing.

Based on the identification of these techniques, the aim is to verify which methods are currently used in the industry, and whether they are capable of meeting the managerial need for speed and accuracy of results.
