This study demonstrates the evolution of radiotherapy’s evolutionary panorama, from its origins to the present day, comparing technologies and technological advances in recent years, highlighting mainly planning systems software, methylamine collimators and linear accelerators. However, modern radiotherapy requires multidisciplinary practices, culminating in the need for trained professionals to work with this treatment modality. For the team of technicians and technologists who work in the area, the new challenges are in the safe and adequate use of images and the treatment and communication delivery system. During the work, a trajectory and perspective on equipment will be presented, bringing the reality and challenges of Brazilian public services as a parameter that is gradually innovated with the innovation of a process that aims to reach the fourth dimension technology in radiotherapy treatment, it is the time and movement, the most stimulating challenge facing@technology. In addition to the historical review of radiotherapy equipment, this document also offers the reader a summary of content on radiotherapy technologies adopted over time.
