Abstract

The seed is the key point for successful plant production, which is an area of knowledge that demands constant and continuous research. Experimental planning and statistics are crucial to verify the qualities of the seeds while preserving them. Thus, the objective of the present work was to carry out a literature review regarding forms of statistical analysis for seed testing, focusing on rapid tests. The methodology used consists of a bibliographical research through scientific articles, books and annals of events and scientific electronic addresses, using keywords such as: seeds, experiments with seeds, plots, quick tests, germination and seed vigor. To this end, 90 documents cited throughout this review and indicated in the references were consulted. It is concluded that in the areas of agronomic and related sciences, experimental precision enables the evolution of the agricultural sector, especially regarding technology and seed processing.
