The chinese pink is a species cultivated, generally, for ground coverings in the garden, however, due to its intense flowering and exuberance of its flowers, its cultivation in pots becomes economically interesting. Thus, the objective of the present work was to cultivate chinese pink plants in different plant densities per pot and pot sizes, in order to evaluate their aesthetic and commercial characteristics. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design, in a 4x3 scheme (plant densities per pot: 1; 2; 3 and 4, and gourd-type pot sizes: in numbers 21; 18 and 11, considering the upper pot diameter), with five repetitions each. The height, diameter and coverage of the plant in the vase and number of flowers were evaluated throughout the cultivation up to 132 days after sowing. There was an intense flowering of the chinese pink both in terms of durability and in number, which is more expressive as the pot size and plant density increase. Therefore, the cultivation of cravine in gourd-type vases becomes attractive for floriculture due to its good adaptability in vases, with substrate available in the region. The three sizes of vases with a density of 3 and 4 plants per vase are recommended.
