https://periodicos.ufn.edu.br/index.php/disciplinarumNT/article/view/5534

A company identified a need to improve performance and reduce the utilization of programmer machines due to the services and technologies used in application development. Based on this, this work created and configured virtual machines in local and remote environments and then compared them. For the methodology, the hardware and software requirements needed by programmers were analyzed; the environment (local or cloud) was selected; the Terraform and Ansible configuration files were created; the machines were created in the chosen environment; and tests were subsequently performed to validate the configurations and analyze performance. The work presented positive results, as expected, showing that the virtual machines (local and remote) perform equally or better than the programmer machines, despite having inferior hardware. It was also observed that, with the use of these machines, there was a reduction in resource utilization on the programmer machines. Analyzing the costs, it was concluded that, for this type of application, the use of local machines offers a better cost-benefit.
Alexandre Zigiotto ZeniFabrício Tonetto Londero

https://periodicos.ufn.edu.br/index.php/disciplinarumNT/article/view/5553

O pH e a atividade antioxidante do lipossomo contendo o extrato permaneceram estáveis.

https://periodicos.ufn.edu.br/index.php/disciplinarumNT/article/view/5552

With the advancement of nuclear medicine in Brazil and globally, the study of potential therapies derived from this modality, known as molecular radiotherapies, has turned out extremely important. Even with Brazil’s significant technological advances, the sector still faces a shortage of therapies available in comparison with the international market. Furthermore, as a country with a large population and vast territory, there are questions about how the country’s nuclear medicine services are organized geographically, including the importance of analyzing the population’s access to these services. Therefore, a study comparing the nuclear medicine therapies available by Brazilian region, considering the local population and territorial area of each region, is relevant. To facilitate access to information for students, professionals in the field, and interested parties, the study was based on simple and straightforward writing, using graphs and tables to visually summarize the information. Public data available on the website of the National Nuclear Energy Commission (CNEN) regarding the number of nuclear medicine services in the country was collected, and the radionuclides authorized for use in each institution were recorded. In this way, it was possible to demonstrate how therapies are divided territorially and to carry out a comparative analysis of the main radionuclides present in clinical practice, in addition to their distribution among Brazilian regions.
Nathalia Flôres MinozzoMariana Zancan Tonel

https://periodicos.ufn.edu.br/index.php/disciplinarumNT/article/view/5345

Annoni grass is an invasive and difficult to control plant that originated in South Africa and was accidentally introduced to Brazil. The species invades Brazil and other countries such as the United States and Uruguay. The state with the largest invasion is Rio Grande do Sul, which is worrisome due to the presence of the Pampas biome. The most effective method to control this invader is the use of herbicides, but after application, the biomass of the species remains in the area in the process of decomposition, releasing allelopathic substances that interfere with the development of native species. Therefore, it is important to provide alternatives for the use of this biomass. Thus, the study aims to standardize the method of subcritical water hydrolysis of biomass of capim-annoni and quantify the glucose in the hydrolysates. For this purpose, Annoni grass plants were collected in their vegetative stage, and the material was dried and ground. In the hydrolysis process, the variables time, temperature and water/solid ratio were evaluated. After hydrolysis, the glucose in the hydrolysates was quantified using the DNS (dinitrosalic acid) method and quantification in spectrophotometer. The best hydrolysis condition to obtain glucose occurred at a temperature of 220 ºC in the highest water/solid ratio for 2 minutes. A high amount of glucose was also obtained at the temperature of 180 ºC in the lowest water/solid ratio in the times of 8 and 10 minutes. The process of hydrolysis with subcritical water was efficient to obtain glucose in the studied biomass.
Bianca M. DolianitisViviane D. FrescuraJefferson F. SilvaNorton M. SilveiraEstêvão S. L. https://periodicos.ufn.edu.br/index.php/disciplinarumNT/article/view/5457

Fractal Geometry, an emerging mathematical area, has been gaining prominence in Basic Education, as indicated by official documents. This qualitative study investigates the perception of future teachers about the applicability of Fractal Geometry in teaching. To this end, a workshop was held on building fractals using origami, integrating theoretical concepts of Fractal Geometry and origami. The work also included an analysis of the curricula of the Mathematics Degree courses at the federal universities of Rio Grande do Sul. The results indicate the need to include Fractal Geometry in teacher training curricula, highlighting the feasibility of working on these concepts during undergraduate courses to improve educators’ spatial visualization skills. This inclusion can enrich mathematics teaching, offering a new perspective on its relationship with the real world. The study serves as a starting point, highlighting the need to continue research on the presence of Fractal Geometry in Basic Education and in teacher training, aiming at a more integrated and robust understanding of the topic in the educational context. The continuity of these investigations is crucial for the effective implementation of Fractal Geometry in pedagogical practice.
Quendra Silva Cartier LarangeiraCarmen Vieira MathiasAlice de Jesus Kozakevicius
